Monarch Learning Center

Policy Council Page

The Monarch Learning Center Policy Council is the governing body of the school.  It functions much the same as a traditional school board.  The Policy Council is made up of Monarch students and their families - all members of the Monarch community are considered non-voting members of the Policy Council.  Voting members include the directors, the lead teachers, the chair of the discipline committee, the chair of the boosters committee and one parent representative from each classroom.  A chairperson, vice-chairperson and secretary are chosen by the voting members of the council yearly.  Meetings are held monthly, and the entire Monarch Community is encouraged to attend.  The voting members of the Policy Council also serve as the board of trustees for the school's 501(c)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation.

This page is where you may find agendas for board meetings and information about resolutions and policies that are being considered by the Policy Council.   Click on the links below to open and/or print Policy Council documents.  The agenda is a web page (return to this page by clicking on the butterflies at the top) and other documents are in Word Format.  If you need them in pdf (Adobe) format, please email Chris.
